Principals Have a Head Start
Queensland’s catholic schools may have started their summer holidays but Brisbane’s Catholic Education principals have a head start on 2016 thanks to the ‘Principals Strategic Workforce Plan’ that was launched in August.
Commissioned by the Brisbane Catholic Education Office (BCEO) and conducted by business improvement consultancy, Johnston & Goldsmith, this work engaged over 1,100 school leaders to develop the strategic workforce plan to ensure BCEO meets today’s education leadership challenges and builds capability for the future.
BCEO’s Executive Director Pam Betts said, “Our Principals Strategic Workforce Plan is a critical collection of strategies that will evolve our strong cohort of passionate leaders in catholic education.”
“The plan combines strategies for the development of current and future leaders as well as supporting our people to be resilient and thrive as they undertake the critical role of leading our schools.
“Importantly, this plan will support our school leaders to teach, challenge and transform more than 71,000 students in classrooms across 137 schools every day,” added Ms Betts.
